Romana Afroz (visually impaired)
Romana Afroz grew up in the household of her day laborer father. Her family consists of her father, mother, and two brothers. From the very beginning of her life, Romana had been struggling for her basic needs. Being visually impaired since birth, Romana completed her primary and secondary education from Mirpur Baptist society Blind Girls School. At present, she is a fourth-year student of Chittagong University’s Political Science department. After finishing her M.A, she wants to take charge of her family as well as do something valuable for her country.

Masuda Akter (visually impaired)
Her father late Mohubul Islam was a restaurant businessman and her mother is a housewife. Masuda Akhter, who suffered an acid attack due to not agreeing to a marriage proposal in 2012, was studying in class 9. As acid entered her eyes, her eyes become blind. In 2013, with the help of BRAC, she was treated at the Acid Survival Foundation for six months. Later, admitted to Shankar Nath Hospital for 27 days. Munni Akhtar Lipi (visually impaired)
Munni Akhtar Lipi lost her eyesight, while she was only two and half months of age, due to severe typhoid. Her father Late Syed Ghulam Sarwar was a constable of the then BDR. Munni’s family consists of her mother, four sisters and one brother. She faced constant obstacles because of her disability. Nevertheless, in 2010, she passed SSC examination from Government blind school, Sagardi, Barisal. After passing HSC in 2012, she went to Badrunnesa Government College and after that enrolled in the Political Science department of Chittagong University. My name is Umme Salima Chowdhury and I am visually impaired since my birth. In my family, I have three sisters, and four of us are blind since birth. However, I am from a prosperous family, and my father is a businessman and mother is a housewife. Because of my visual impairment, my schooling started at the Muradpur government blind school.
